Vision Thailand grew out of the devastation of the tsunami people were left traumatized and devastated. This opened the doors for evangelism and Pastor Preecha was encouraged to start a Community Center in 2005 on Koh Kho Khao Island. With the help of over 1000 volunteers, today there is a beautiful church and community center on the island which serves the spiritual needs of local Thais.

Pastor Preecha and his wife Nitaya are well suited for the work of evangelism and church planting. A Thai pastor and evangelist for many years, and Nitaya has extensive personal care abilities and background and was the private nurse to the King's family in Thailand. This gives her a fantastic network and ability to sense the hurt in the lives of people.

An important part of our vision is the church planting training center on Koh Kho Khao island. With the help of volunteers we can build and provide churches for Thais. Volunteers are also needed to help with program needs such as teaching English, children's camps, and computer skills development.

There is a wave of hopelessness that is sweeping over Thailand. Many young people are turning to drugs, immorality and violence. Some Thai school officials are saying: "We have had monks, psychiatrists and other experts come to our schools, but we can do nothing with our students that will turn them around, or even listen to us. If you Christians can do something, please come to our schools and help us."

Vision Thailand is in the process of establishing a relationship with the Dream Center.
Pastor Sangwien and his wife Papa have been on the Board of Vision Thailand from the beginning and share our vision; that vision has not changed, but is becoming stronger. Pastor Sangwien is a dynamic Thai pastor and leader who has organized and preached in many large preaching and prayer crusades in Thailand and is well known and respected throughout the country. He has a God-sized vision for Thailand!

The Dream Center has over 30 young Thai professional people who have resigned from their jobs, and have declared themselves available for full-time Christian service. These young people have access to schools, universities and the community and are leading many to Christ.

It is amazing to see teams of Christian young people trained at the Dream Center, a partner of Vision Thailand, hold large assemblies with drama, Christian rock, multi-media and preaching. Students are listening and coming to Christ.

It is our vision to have a holistic approach to church planting, serving the spiritual, social, educational and physical needs of children and adults.

Pastor Sangwien and Pastor Preecha feel strongly that having both ministries partner under Vision Thailand will complement each other. Using Vision Thailand's resources and the Dream Center's team approach to evangelism, we will be more effective working together than by ourselves.

Thailand has 67 million people, and less than 1% call themselves Christian. We will be reaching the unreached, in towns and villages throughout Thailand. Now is the time to obey the Great Commission effectively in culturally appropriate ways. This will take the dedicated prayers of God's people, and your generosity and desire to reach Thais with the Gospel.

Please join us in sharing Christ with Thais by praying, giving and going. We have a wide, effectual door open to us, and we invite you to join us in sharing Christ with Thais.
